CRS21 The ARC Compact Response Shield 

The ARC Compact Response Shield Is a rifle-rated ballistic shield that provides NIJ Level III Rifle-Rated center mass protection beyond standard plate carriers. 1000 Denier nylon load-bearing shield cover. Curved boltless design eliminates weak points and projectile hazards. Laser cut Molle on front and back for pouches or medical kits. Ultra lightweight UHMWPE shield panel insert with a slingable design.

The best shield is the one you have with you when you need it. The CRS is small enough to store in any vehicle and light enough to be slung on the back and at the ready for every call.

Tested to NIJ Level III to withstand multiple rifle threats. Our shields have taken multiple rifle rounds zero penetrations.

Shield Cover

The patented 1000D Cordura load bearing shield cover is made in the USA exclusively for the CRS™ by FirstSpear Company using their unique 6/12 technology to reduce weight.  With mil-spec webbing and stitching, this high quality 2lb cover is designed to be durable and resilient in the field in all weather conditions.  The cover features front padding, molle webbing, curved ergonomic high impact forearm padding, forearm strap, and an integrated handle.  CRS can be customized by mounting various pouches, equipment and accessories to the front and rear velcro molle.  The top loading YKK zipper system secures the ballistic shield panel in place and allows for panel or cover swap, if desired. Kydex Rifle Supports (Option)

MOLLE mounted Kydex Rifle Support Brackets are made in the USA and designed specifically for the Compact Response Shield™ Can be placed on the left, right or both sides. Large enough to accommodate most rifle fore-grips and creates a steady platform for shooting while allowing for proper sight picture. Placing your upper forearm under the bracket when shooting a pistol with one hand provides bracing during recoil allowing for improved accuracy, pistol operation and threat acquisition. Rack Rail Pair (Option)

The optional Rack Rail allows racking of pistol or rifle against the rack rail platform for easily racking the weapon while holding the shield in place.

Double Adjustable Sling (Option)

The optional Double Adjusting Shield Sling has been designed and manufactured exclusively for the CRS by a US Navy SEAL. Made in the USA, this Compact Response Shield™ sling allows the user to transport or operate the shield in a variety of positions. 

FoxFury LED Light Kit (Option)

The Foxfury Taker B30 1000 lumen shield light is easily mounted on the shield cover and comes with 3 lighting modes via a pressure switch. This kit comes custom equipped  with a webbing mounted battery pack pouch and two Velcro wire control strips.

Door Window Straps (Option)

Door window straps provide window level protection for either the driver or passenger side window. The window straps are made in the USA with 3/4 inch nylon webbing and quick release buckles. The straps are placed through the outer D Rings located on the back of the CRS and are secured around the door window frame. Patent Pending.

Flip Down Ballistic Panel (Option)

Extend your CRS21 to provide additional ballistic coverage.  Press both release buckles to flip down the the panel extension. The extension is secured to the bottom of the CRS21 with 5 malice clips creating a hinge to provide a total coverage length of approx. 30" (2" armor overlap provided). The extension kit can be ordered with pistol or rifle rated ballistic panel inserts.  Patent Pending.

Trauma Kit FRTK Phokus Flat Pack Kit (Option)

Optional Trauma Kit contains hemostatic gauze, SWAT T TQ, Z Fold Gauze, Pressure Dressing, Oclusive Dressing, Tape, Nitrile Gloves, Shears.  Size is 9" x 12" and weighs 8 oz.

The Compact Response Shield™ has a patented load bearing cover and boltless design (i.e., no holes drilled through the panel for added accessories) which eliminates common weak points typically found in other shields that compromise both integrity and performance.  The Compact Response Shield™ is available in 21" and 26" lengths with lightweight panel weights of 7.75lbs and 10lbs, respectively. For additional coverage, an optional ballistic flip down panel provides extended length and protection. The Compact Response Shield™ unique ergonomics enables on-the-move, offensive solo officer responses to active shooters and evolving situations that present potential armed engagement. 

The Compact Response Shield™ is periodically re-tested to National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standard 0108.01 (Ballistic Resistant Materials) by Oregon Ballistic Laboratories for NIJ Level III (7.62x51/M80) plus special threat testing for NATO 7.62x39 Type 56 MSC and 5.56 M193. Oregon Ballistic Laboratory in Salem, Oregon, is an independent ballistics testing facility certified and licensed by the NIJ (the research, development and evaluation agency of the US Department of Justice) to conduct product testing and verification compliance to NIJ standards on behalf of the US Department of Justice. NIJ standards are uniformly applied by law enforcement and government agencies in the USA and adopted by many other countries.
