UNLIKE other quick release conversion kits that use the Cobra polymer GT and Cobra Metal Buckles, we use dual buckles (a set for each side totaling 4 buckles) and to attach, fold the existing velcro part of the cummerbund backwards and weave our piece into the "molle" platform of the vest. This allows the user to keep their existing vest parts (cummerbund) and not have to purchase an entire new cummerbund trying to achieve the same purpose. Our product is an "add on" to an existing platform to "convert" existing vests to a "Quick Release QR" vest. We have the male portion of the buckle (cobra, Tubes® closure or other style) sewn to a strip of molle / pals platform. Each dual buckle system sticks out each side (left and right) front of flap to receive the female portion of the buckle that is manually attached by the end user onto the molle platform of their existing cummerbund, once they've folded their velcro flap back.
