SRT Level IIIA+ Special Rifle Threat plate is designed to defeat the most common rifle threats in the world today, while being extremely tough and lightweight. At just 2.53 pounds, the SRT plate allows the user to be quick and agile on his feet yet still boast the stopping power to defeat multiple hits from a 7.62x39 (AK 47 style) and 5.56x45 (AR 15 style) ball rounds. The SRT will also defeat the M193 high speed rounds as well. This plate however is not rated to defeat the less common M855 Steel Core Green tip 5.56x45 rounds that you can see from time to time.
