The BDS RAC Carrier mixes traditional with advanced upgradeable options. One unique characteristic of this carrier is that the hook / loop cummerbund that goes under the flap, can fold and retract back into the cummerbund itself in order to attach Blaze's Quick Release Conversion Kits (First Spear Tubes, GT Polymer Dual Buckles, or Austri Alpin Metal Dual Cobra Buckles). The main issue with many carriers that have "built in" or "sewn in" quick release systems is that if the quick release system fails, many times you're SOL. In many circumstances, you'll have to replace the entire cummerbund, if the buckle is not field repairable. With our carrier, when you run your quick release system (from Blaze of course), you could always revert back to velcro if needed for any unforeseen issue. Just simply pull the velcro tab back from inside the cummerbund where it resides when the quick release system is attached.
