Description
Developed by Fire Maul®, the Tech Hammer is a lightweight tactical striking tool for breaching and forced entry, featuring a 5 lb single-piece forged design that combines controlled striking, prying capability, and mechanical advantage in a compact breaching kit.
Purpose-Built for Breaching and Forced Entry
The Tech Hammer features a 5 lb single-piece forged construction with a large striking face. This design allows operators to set a halligan or rapidly breach residential doors. Instead of carrying heavier, single-purpose striking tools, operators maintain controlled striking and effective prying capability. Therefore, overall carried weight is reduced without compromising breaching performance.
Integrated Mechanical Advantage for Breaching Kits
The Tech Hammer integrates directly into a compact breaching kit. It pairs well with halligan style Chicago adz–style implements. When paired, it extends leverage on both the adz and fork sides. As a result, operators gain increased mechanical advantage during gap, set, and force operations. This configuration also improves task sequencing and reduces reliance on additional leverage tools.
Multi-Function Chisel Tip Handle
The chisel-tip handle supports gapping, prying, and capturing. Because of this, operators can transition between striking and leverage tasks without changing tools. This versatility is especially important during dynamic breaching and forced entry scenarios where speed, efficiency, and tool economy matter.
Construction and Technical Performance
The Tech Hammer measures 15 inches in length. It is rated at a 15:1 mechanical advantage on the adz side and a 9:1 mechanical advantage on the claw side. In addition, it provides a 1.8-inch adz opening. The single-piece forged construction enhances durability, while the black oxide finish provides corrosion resistance and a reduced visual signature in operational environments.
