Upgrade your plate carrier with a Quick Release Conversion Kit featuring rugged metal COBRA® buckles for faster don/doff and secure retention. Designed to convert most carriers with a cummerbund and MOLLE to a quick-release setup on the “under-flap” of the front panel, this kit eliminates “fighting the flap” and the hassle of noisy hook-and-loop in high-stress situations. The metal hardware is rated to a 2023-lb crush load while adding under 1 lb to your rig, delivering dependable strength without the bulk. Kit includes left and right dual-buckle assemblies as shown. Compatible with popular carriers (e.g., Banshee); see note for TacTec conversion.

NOTE: Conversion Kits are sold as shown on the pictures. One dual buckle system for the left side and one dual buckle system for the right side. You get both sides (left and right) with the purchase. There have been many questions about this. This should help with the confusion!

**5.11 TacTec Vest has double hook material under the flap. You'll need to convert your BDS QR Kit to double loop. This can easily be done with purchasing a couple adhesive velcro strips (sold in a small roll). Adhere two of the loop side velcro to one another via the 3M adhesive backs. Attach the pieces you've assembled to the backside of the BDS QR kit allowing it to stick to the hook section of the 5.11 TacTec vest under flap

Converting your vest is easy in three simple steps:

Fold the cummerbund’s hook side back to the non-hook MOLLE panel.
Weave/attach the QR male MOLLE section.
Lift the front flap and position the QR female hook section onto your vest’s loop area; adjust spacing as needed.

NOTE: 5.11 TacTec has double hook under the flap—convert to double loop using adhesive loop strips.
